17th Jenner Glycobiology & Medicine Symposium

We are pleased to host the 17th Jenner Glycobiology and Medicine Symposium, taking place in Amsterdam from June 9–11, 2027. Organised by Amsterdam UMC, Leiden UMC and Radboud University, this prestigious international event will bring together leading academics, clinical practitioners, and industry professionals to explore the translational potential of Glycoscience in medicine.

The symposium will feature keynote presentations from world-renowned experts from the US and Europe, including:

• Daan van Aalten

• Nina van Sorge

They will highlight their cutting-edge research and tools at the interface of glyco-chemistry, -biology, -immunology and how to harness these for clinical application. The program addresses and integrates different aspects of glycobiology in physiological and pathological settings, including immunology, infection, cancer, autoimmunity and neurological disorders.

As we aim to give young glycoscientists and rising stars a podium to present their work, the program will be complemented with 30 oral presentations selected from submitted abstracts. In addition, there is the opportunity to present research through posters. We plan a panel discussion featuring renowned glycoscience experts.

This event will be co-organized by Glycoscience NL, an initiative to connect all researchers working on glycosylation-related disciplines in the Netherlands. Glycoscience NL organizes an exciting workshop targeting early career researchers in glycosciences in the morning of 9th June 2027, which is open to all participants of the Jenner symposium.
